Popular Nepali actor Rekha Thapa has announced candidacy for the General Secretary post in Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
Thapa who is also the party's central committee staff has announced candidacy for the General Secretary post from the women's side.
Before entering RPP, Thapa was associated with CPN (Maoist Center).
Voting for the new leadership of RPP is going to be held on Friday.
The convention is ongoing in Kathmandu that was started on Wednesday.
