Indian vetran Actress Shabana Azmi is coming Nepal as the Special Guest in the 2nd Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest) 2022. She has confirmed to attend the grand opening of NITFest 2022 on 25th November 2022 at the premises of Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun. Further, she will be giving a masterclass on 26th November at Mandala Theatre Hall.
One of India's most acclaimed actresses, Shabana Azmi is known for her portrayals of distinctive, often unconventional female characters across several genres. She has won a record five National Film Awards for Best Actress, in addition to five Filmfare Awards and several international honors among other accolades. In 1998, she was honored by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honor of the country, and in 2012, she was awarded Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian honor.
