Buddhist organisation calls for annulment of lease of Ramagrama Stupa excavation project
Kathmandu, Feb 2: The Dharmodaya Assembly has demanded for immediate cancellation of project prepared in order to lease a private company for the construction and excavation of the historic Ramagrama Stupa for 99 years and the memorandum of understanding signed with the foreign organisation.
Issuing a press release today, the Assembly urged to forward the construction and excavation work of Stupa under leadership of the government without hurting the sentiments of Buddhists across the world by cancelling the project as the government of Nepal, Finance Ministry and Department of Archeology have already told that the MoU is not lawful.
