The District Police here have been able to safely free a girl child within 24 hours of her abduction. The police also arrested five persons on suspicion of their involvement in the crime.
The 4-year-old daughter of local Dhruba Mandal from Pulchowk in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolis was abducted from his own residence on Thursday evening. She was released from Baphaiya of Bideha Municipality-8 in the district at 6:00 pm Friday.
Information to this was shared by the Spokesperson at District Police Office, DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet.
The abductors had demanded Rs 1.5 million in ransom by calling on the mobile phone of the girl child's father. The policepersons mobilized immediately from the Province Police Office and District Police Office after the information about abduction tracked the mobile networking and caught the abductors.
