In the Division Forest office under the government of Sudurpaschim Province, there is no staff as per the demand, and the work is being done by one officer. Information Officer of Division Forest Office Subash Chandra Aydi informed that although there are officer-level guards in six sub-division forest offices under Division Forest, forest guards are running the office.
Although there are six officers in the Sub-Division Forest Office, there are only two officers. According to Aydi, the daily administrative work is affected due to the lack of manpower according to the quota. He said, "There are 28 posts of forest guards for six local forest offices. But 18 forest guards have been running the administration of the forest area.
Although there are eight officers at the official level, only two are working. There are no authorized level employees in the area. Forest guards are working. "Two people are forced to do the work", said Aydi.
Bhojraj Pathak, Director of Forestry, said that due to the lack of manpower to control the forest fires due to geographical difficulties and to reduce the incidents of wildlife poaching in cold weather, it is difficult. Work pressure has increased due to lack of manpower. According to Pathak, the help of security personnel had to be taken to control forest fires and wildlife theft.
