The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Friday reported 112 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country's COVID-19 tally to 273,984.
Of the newly infected, 44 are females and 68 are males.
As many as 54 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, a total of 270,277 persons infected with coronavirus in the country have recovered as of Friday. At present, the recovery rate stands at 98.7 per cent as per the data released by the MoHP.
Likewise, the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 2,771 with four more deaths from COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours. Presently, there are 936 active cases in Nepal.
Meanwhile, 2,157,580 people have undergone polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
Likewise, 936 people have been staying in isolation while 71 others in quarantine, the MoHP reported.
Earlier on Thursday, the ministry had reported 112 new cases of coronavirus that had taken the country's COVID-19 tally to 273,872.
More than 113.07 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus worldwide while at least 2,613,113 people have died from COVID-19, following an outbreak that started in Wuhan, China, in early December, a Reuters tally showed as of 3:32 pm on February 26.
