192 litres of low-quality sanitiser recovered in Syangja

Police in Syangja district recovered 192 litres of low-quality sanitiser from Pragatinagar and Chandranagar Ghumti in Putalibazar Municipality-1 on Monday afternoon.

The arrestee has been identified as Devendra Poudel (47), a resident of Kalakhola in Putalibazar Municipality-1.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Syangja District Police Office (DPO) nabbed Poudel. Police also recovered 180 litres of sanitiser manufactured by Utsav Detergent and Cosmetic Industry and Global Health Care India from Poudel's residence. Police also seized 12 litres of santiser from Dilip Shrestha's Rol Barah Suppliers store. Shrestha is a resident of Chandranagar Ghumti in Putalibazar Municipality-1. In total, police recovered 192 litres of low-quality sanitisers from their possession.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed DPO Syangja.
