The preliminary data received by the Election Commission stated that about 35 percent of voting has been completed in the country by 12 noon today in connection with the local level elections. Voting is taking place in 21,955 polling stations in 10,756 polling stations of all 753 local levels for the local level election.

The commission stated that voting has been going on peacefully and enthusiastically since 7 am except for some occasional incidents.

Spokesperson of the Commission Shaligram Sharma Poudel informed that polling was disrupted due to general disputes at some polling stations in Dolakha, Sarlahi, Saptari, Ramechhap, Parbat, Humla and Bajura. He said that efforts were being made and voting was expected to resume soon in those places.
