Police have arrested a youth on Sunday with 1494 kg of explosives. Umesh Kumar Jaiswal, 30, of Kupandol, Lalitpur, has been arrested, according to police.
Police have arrested Jaiswal along with materials worth Rs 2 million after a complaint was lodged that firecrackers including Patka and Bhuichampa, which were smuggled out of the Kathmandu Valley on different dates, were being stored for sale and distribution. They had been informed that necessary action has been initiated against him under the case related to explosives related to paragraph 7 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS.
