The lawmakers have drawn the attention of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to complete the bridge under construction on the Karnali River as soon as possible. Kanchanpur district MPs Nirudevi Pal, Deepak Prakash Bhatt and Nara Bahadur Dhami have drawn the attention of Physical Infrastructure Secretary Rabindranath Shrestha to complete the construction of the bridge as soon as possible.
MP Dhami informed the bridge under construction on the Mahakali River connecting Dodhara Chandni would be rescheduled. According to him, earlier it was said that structures would be built near the bridge to attract tourists but now some changes are taking place. He said, "We have said that the bridge, which has been 75 percent completed so far, should be completed soon. The work has been stalled for three or four months now."
The team has drawn the attention of Secretary Shrestha saying that some of the bridges contracted in the past have not been constructed yet. He said that some of the other bridges planned three or four years ago have not been implemented yet.
Secretary Shrestha has expressed his commitment to approve the design of the Mahakali Bridge as soon as possible. The government had started the construction of the bridge connecting Dodhara-Chandani across the Mahakali River four years ago. The bridge will connect Dodhara Chandni with Bhimdatta Municipality.
