The Bhotkhola road section in the northern region has been blocked for a year due to a dry landslide in Makalu Gaonpalika-3 Samatar of Sankhuwasabha. As the road was blocked due to a landslide on the Kimathanka-Khandbari road under the North-South road section, the staff and passengers going to the area for the election have been stranded.
The road section to Bhotkhola has been blocked for a year after a landslide in Samatar, said Dipesh Rajak, chief engineer of the North-South Road Office. According to him, there has been a problem in opening the road section even though excavators have been brought to the area as the landslide has not stopped.
The dry landslide has caused problems in the movement of people going to Bhotkhola and Makalu villages and transportation of goods. Passengers are stranded on the road as the landslide has not stopped in the current situation of increasing passenger pressure during the election.
