Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) hosted a webinar in partnership with the United Nations Volunteering (UNV) Nepal today on the topic ‘Career Prospect through Volunteering’.
Dmitry Frischin, UNV Regional Portfolio Manager, Thailand, provided guidelines on volunteering and its contribution to the shaping of a career in the long run. He also drew special attention on how to become a part of the UNV and explained how their organization are currently encouraging volunteers during the pandemic.
Matt Tully, Acting Country Director of Peace Corps Nepal, also highlighted the importance of volunteering and shared how Peace Corps was contributing to Nepal for the last few decades. Tully noted that it has been a learning opportunity for US citizens as well.
Ramesh Silwal, Chairman of ACEM, said that such platforms would help boost up entrepreneurship and skill-based education among the enthusiasts.
ACEM Executive Director Kapil Dev Regmi focused that the major objective of the webinar was not merely to encourage the youths in volunteering but also to promote their career via such worthwhile activities. ACEM is expanding its multiple student-focused works via Living Lab Projects by its Research & Innovation Unit (RIU). Such community-based laboratories are planning to operate in various places of the country
