COVID-19 infection declines, nearly 6,000 cured on Saturday

Coronavirus infection has decreased for some days in Nepal. The Ministry of Health and Population informed that out of the total tests, some 34 percent were tested positive for the virus in the latest update.

Earlier, the Ministry had recorded the positive results in more than 50 percent of the tested population. Among 14,562 tests, 4,904 were tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.

In the same period, 5,924 persons got rid of coronavirus infection. Meanwhile, six persons lost lives to the contagion in the last 24 hours. The number of active coronavirus cases stand at 87,329 now.

The number of people losing lives to contagion has so far reached 11,703 in Nepal.

Meanwhile, the number of people receiving the first dose of anti-COVID vaccine has reached over 16.5 million while of those receiving second dose reached 14 million, and of those receiving the booster dose reached over 333,000.
