One more person who was injured in a road accident in Dailekh district on Thursday morning has died.
The microbus (Karnali State 02 001 Kha 247) heading to Surkhet from Kalikot district fell about 100 metres below the road on Thursday morning at Duikuna along the Karnali Highway in Aathbis Municipality-1.
The Dailekh District Police Office (DPO) identified the deceased as Jitendra Bahadur Shahi (37) of Bharta, Shuvakalika Rural Municipality and Kamal BK (21) of Naraharinath rural municipality, Kalikot district.
Three police persons were also injured in the mishap. Among them, Ramesh Chaudhary is said to be in critical condition.
Of the 21 passengers travelling on the microbus, two have died while 11 of the injured have been taken to Surkhet for treatment. Three of the injured are being treated at the local health facility. The condition of two of the injured is said to be in critical condition.
Police presumed that the speeding vehicle may have run out of control and veered off the road.
