Today at 11:10 am, a bus from Kathmandu to Myagdi Beni via Parbat met with an accident in Dhading Gajuri Chalise. 8 people died when the Myagdi Korla Transport Pvt Ltd bus went out of control and fell 30/40 metres down the road into the Trishuli River.
Among the dead are 2 women and 6 men.
The police said that the names of 3 of the deceased have been revealed, while the names of 5 are yet to be revealed.
At that place, 17 people were rescued alive with the help of members of other security agencies and local citizens from District Police Office Dhading, Area Police Office Gajuri, and District Traffic Police Office Gajuri.
There were 25 people in that vehicle, 14 of the 17 rescued alive have been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment. 1 person has been discharged after treatment, 1 person is being treated at Malekhu Teaching Hospital and 1 person is said to be healthy.
