Minister for Energy, Hydro Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has said the ruling alliance of five political parties was for the protection of nationalism, democracy and constitution.

At a programme organized to congratulate those elected by the first session of the district chapter of Press Centre Nepal (Province) on Saturday, Minister Bhusal also said the regressive attitude was defeated by the five-party alliance.

She however observed, "The regressive conspiracy is still in existence, so it warrants further alertness." The regression was however defeated with the joint effort of people and progressive force. Minister Bhusal reiterated that various elements were trying to collapse the present alliance. The alliance should be continued till the election, she underscored.

Chairperson of Press Centre Nepal Maheshwor Dahal reminded that media has played a significant role in Nepal's political changes. He urged fellow journalists to write in favour of people.

The session elected a new working committee for print, radio, online and television.
