Four died due to COVID-19 in Butwal and Dhangadhi

Three people died of coronavirus infection this morning in Butwal of Rupandehi. They, each from Rupandehi, Arghakhanchi and Kapilvastu, were undergoing treatment at the Corona Special Hospital under the Lumbini Province Hospital.

The deceased are a 71-year-old woman of Tilottama municipality-1, a 79-year-old woman from Malarani rural municipality-5 in Arghakhanchi and a 71-year-old male from Banganga municipality-3 in Kapilvastu. The first victim was brought to the hospital on April 3 with fever and breathing difficulty and was diagnosed to be a pneumonic patient while the second victim was admitted to the hospital on April 9 and was facing the health issues as of the first victim, said Province Hospital information officer Dr Bishnu Gautam.

Likewise, the third had fever, pneumonia and diabetes.

Meanwhile, Seti Province Hospital, Dhangadhi this morning reported the death of a 50-year-old man of Godawari municipality-3, Kailali from the virus. He reached the hospital on Sunday night with severe pneumonia and was put on ventilator support. The patient breathed his last this morning, said hospital information officer Dilip Kumar Shrestha. He had returned home from India last month. This is the first death from virus in the hospital in the past 50 days.
