Police in Sunsari district on Monday afternoon arrested a youth in possession of 50 sets of dialex dc, 200 tablets of Nitrogen, and 288 tablets of spasmo-proxyvon from Nahar Chowk in Koshi Rural Municipality-3.
The arrested has been identified as Majurl, a 28-year-old Indian national of Bihar state.
Security personnel deployed from the Biratnagar-based Narcotics Control Bureau Office nabbed him during a routine check when he was coming to Nepal from India. Police seized all the illegal drugs from his handbag.
Meanwhile, police in Nawalparasi district on Tuesday morning arrested a youth in possession of 59 ampules of diazepam, 60 ampules of nufin, and 62 ampules of phenergan from Narayani Bridge in Gaindakot Municipality-2.
The arrested has been identified as Nol Singh Gurung, a 32-year-old resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16 in Chitwan district.
Security personnel nabbed Gurung during a routine vehicle check. The police recovered those illegal drugs from a truck with vehicle registration number GA 1 KHA 7498. The drugs were kept hidden under the seat.
Meanwhile, police in Chitwan district on Monday afternoon arrested two persons in possession of 1,010 tablets of energon, 680 tablets of trama and 81 tablets of trophin from Pokhara Buspark in Bharatpur Municipality-2.
The arrested has been identified as Abhishek Thapa, a 29-year-old resident of Devghat Rural Municipality-9 in Tanahun district while the name of the other person has been not been disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Chitwan-based District Police Office nabbed them while they were peddling the banned medicine in their own pharmacy store 'Bhagwati Medical Hall'.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, informed the police.
