Government to provide funds for unemployed

The government has started formulating procedures to provide relief of Rs 10,000 per family to the poor and destitute who have lost their jobs and income due to the effects of the Corona epidemic.

The Ministry of Finance is now formulating procedures to distribute such relief as soon as possible as mentioned in the newly revised budget brought on August 10 through the replacement bill.

The Ministry of Finance has started formulating this procedure to implement the same declaration of the Finance Minister. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance Mahesh Acharya said that the working procedure is being worked out for the distribution of relief money mentioned in the budget. He informed that preparations are being made to distribute relief money as early as possible.

He said that relief would be distributed to the poor and destitute who have lost their identities from the local level after the Ministry of Finance formulate working procedures with necessary criteria.
