The government has decided to buy 40 lakh doses of coronavirus vaccines from Chinese company Sinopharm.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday has given the Ministry of Health and Population the go-ahead to make preparations to buy the vaccines. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli informed in the meeting that 40 lakh doses of the vaccines would be purchased and the first lot would be brought to Nepal by June, according to a minister.
This decision of the Council of Ministers will soon be made public officially by the government.
