Police in Banke district on Monday arrested a man who allegedly killed his wife in Baijnath Rural Municipality-3.
The arrestee has been identified as Chakra Bahadur Budha (42) of Uttaraldhaura in Baijnath-3. Police identified the deceased as Budha's wife Laxmi BC (32).
According to Police, Budha thrashed his wife in a domestic dispute critically injuring her on Monday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of security personnel deployed from Kohalpur-based Area Police Office detained Budha.
The injured woman was sent to the Medical College, Kohalpur where she died during the course of treatment, police informed.
Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, said police.
