A man in Damdarekhola of Kushma Municipality-4 has killed his wife with a sickle. Raju Pariyar, 43, of Damdarekhola in Kushma Bazar of Baglung Municipality-6 killed his wife Sita, aged 41.
According to Shivaraj Budhathoki, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Parbat, Pariyar killed his wife at around 10 am on Friday. According to him, a sharp weapon was found on the body of the deceased woman along with bruises on her head. Police have also recvered a sickle from the spot along with the accused husband Raju Pariyar.
Even before this, there were frequent quarrels between them and they used to come to the community service center and the women & children's service center and return after reconciliation. According to District Police Office, Parbat Police Inspector Pradip Poudel, Raju Pariyar had consumed alcohol during the health check-up on Friday morning.
The deceased has a son and a daughter. But both children are not with them. A relative had lodged a complaint on Friday evening and the body of the deceased will be handed over after his relatives arrive today, police said.
