Bhaktamani Rakhal of Dhankuta Mahalakshmi Municipality Ward No. 2, who was seriously injured in a road accident while returning to Nepal after working in Saudi Arabia for 7 years, has been sent to Nepal on a Nepal Airlines flight.
According to the Nepalese Embassy in Riyadh, he was injured in a road accident on January 21 while walking to the airport to return to Nepal. He was treated at King Abdullah Mediacal City National Guard Hospital in Riyadh. While he was walking, he was hit by a car from behind.
The police are yet to find any details about the vehicle that hit him.
Although the health condition of Rakhal, who has been in a coma for a long time, is improving, the doctors involved in his treatment have advised that he will recover faster if he gets the support and care of his family.
According to the Nepal Embassy in Riyadh, the Nepalese government has borne all the expenses of bringing him on a stretcher to Nepal by plane.
