The inner road section of Manang, which has been closed for a week due to heavy snowfall, has been affected. Vehicles have resumed operations after the snow on the road was cleared after heavy snowfall.
Heavy snow had frozen in most parts of the district since Sunday morning. Chief District Officer Rabindra Acharya informed that the road was blocked for six days after the road was blocked due to snow.
According to him, snow has been removed from Talekhu to Khangsar of Manang Ngisyang Municipality. According to Prajia Acharya, the traffic was restored after some locals of the district cleared the snow with the help of JCB and people's representatives and police. He said, “After removing the frozen snow and opening the road, air circulation has started. This will make it easier to ventilate. ”
Due to the snow, there were problems in transportation of food and goods including daily necessities. Acharya said that the people's representatives of the village municipality have been working on the ground to remove the snow. The snowfall has created excitement among the farmers in the Himalayan region. But locals say they have to suffer because of the long snow on the road. Similarly, the condition of the district residents has been monitored at various places under the leadership of Chief District Officer Acharya. According to the District Administration Office, Manang, warm clothes have been distributed to the needy families while inspecting the living conditions in the cold.
