Lawyers have approached the Supreme Court (SC) with a writ petition against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Advocate Gyanendra Raj Aran and other lawyers approached the Supreme Court demanding an order to file a complaint against the PM and arrest him and take action.
The SC had ordered that the application submitted on the basis of political expression could not be registered. The joint bench of Justice Ishwar Khatiwada and Hari Phuyal ordered the registration of the writ on Friday. According to the same order, the legal professionals again approached the Supreme Court with a writ petition.
The Maoist Center has objected to it. Maoist General Secretary Dev Gurung issued a statement on Sunday and said that it is prejudiced to say that Dahal's speech should be interpreted in an exaggerated manner and made a subject of the action.
The meeting of the 8 parties of the Maoist faction held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday decided to protest against the activities against the comprehensive peace agreement.
