Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has requested everyone to celebrate Bhaitika by following safety protocols as COVID risk is still high and not all citizens are fully vaccinated.

Sending a message on the occasion, PM Deuba said that significant progress has been made in the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 with the continuous efforts of the government and the support of everyone.

In the message, he mentioned that as the government is constantly working to reduce the impact of the viral disease, festivals should be celebrated with caution.

Stating that the country is moving forward in the direction of development and progress through the institutional implementation of the constitution at this time, the general public and all state bodies have their own roles and responsibilities to play.

He wished that the festival of strengthening brotherhood by uniting sisters and brothers would give us all that kind of inspiration and happiness and also help us achieve heights in guaranteeing peace, stability, and good governance in the country.

Wishing happiness, peace, prosperity, good health, longevity, and progressive progress to all Nepalis at home and abroad, Prime Minister Deuba expressed confidence that the festival would play an important role in expanding the brotherhood.

Just like when Yamaraj, the son of Lord Surya accepted the invitation of his sister Yamuna and went to his sister's house for five days to enjoy it.
