A male prisoner hung himself to death in Rolpa Prison last night.
Vijay Bikram Shah, 27, of Ghodaankhe, Barahatal Rural Municipality-1 of Surkhet was found dead, hanging in the toilet on his own muffler, said Information Officer at the District Police Office, Inspector Thaman GC.
Police had broken the toilet door open after receiving information that it was locked. At present, there are 11 female inmates and 96 male inmates in the district jail.
