Two people died and three people went missing when a landslide swept away a house in Taming of Malika rural municipality-2 room in Myagdi this morning. The houses of Gham Bahadur Wik and Gothe Wik were buried in mud. According to outgoing ward member Sam Bahadur Wik, who was at the scene, the bodies of Gothe Wik's sons Rajan and Naveen have been found.
Gothe and his wife, Gori Vick, were injured in the fall. Gham Bahadur, his wife Rammaya and daughter Rosie Vick have gone missing. Local residents are searching for the missing.
Beg Prasad Garbuja, chairman of Malika Rural Municipality, informed that a team of people's representatives and security personnel went to the incident site. The incident site is at the foot of the Taminggaon Room which takes about three hours of walking from Darwang, the center of Malika Rural Municipality to reach.
