Police in Jhapa arrested a youth with 15.7 grams of brown sugar in Bhadrapur Municipality-7.
The police identified the arrested as Suman Tamang (22) of the same municipality in Jhapa district.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Jhapa-based District Police Office and Kakarbhitta-based Narcotics Control Bureau nabbed Tamang with the substances while checking him on Sunday afternoon.
Likewise, police arrested a man with 12 milligrams of brown sugar in Bhimdatta Municipality-17, Kanchanpur district.
The arrested has been identified as Padam Singh Kathayat (35) of Badaipur-17 in the municipality.
Security personnel deployed from the Gaddachauki-based Area Police Office nabbed Kathayat with the drugs while checking him. He was arrested on Sunday.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, said the police.
