Two held with Rs 1.63m in Parsa

Parsa police arrested two men in possession of Rs 1,063,620 and INR 1,600 for which they could not reveal the source in Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality-2.

The arrested have been identified as Brij Kishor Giri (45) of Bihar, India, and Ram Kumar Patel (50) of Dhobini Rural Municipality-2, Parsa district.

They were entering Nepal via India on a motorcycle without a registration number. Security personnel deployed from the Janakitole-based Area Police Office nabbed them with a huge amount of cash while conducting a routine vehicle check.

They had been hiding the cash under the motorcycle seat.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
