Abukhaireni rural municipality of Tanahu district has decided to mandatorily educate children of people's representatives in a community school with the objective of uplifting the educational level of community schools.
A meeting of the rural municipality executive held on Sunday decided to educate children of people's representatives in community schools from the coming academic session, said the Chairperson of the rural municipality, Shukra Chuman.
There are 32 people's representatives in the rural municipality. Six wards of Abukhaireni rural municipality have 35 community schools where around 405 students are studying.
"We decided to educate children of people's representatives in community schools to bring our commitment to uplifting the educational quality of community schools into practice. The rural municipality has also prepared to provide buses to community schools in grants", added Chair Chuman.
