An elderly man who was swept away by Kelasti River has gone missing in Byas Municipality-9, Tanahun district.
Eighty-year-old Nar Bahadur Bista was swept away while he was crossing the river. The whereabouts of the elderly man is still unknown, according to police. Meanwhile, the security personnel have been conducting the search operation, informed Yubaraj Timilsina, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Tanhun District Police Office.
Meanwhile, 12,000 chickens have been swept away by Chudi River in Bhanu Municipality-4 in the district. The fowls belonging to Newa Agriculture and Animal Farms owned by local Binaya Kayastha.
Police informed that 8,000 broiler chickens, 4,000 local breeds of chicken, and 21,000 fishes have been swept away by the river, said the police.
