Nineteen different species of saplings have been planted on the occasion of World Wetlands Day. Chitwan National Park has planted trees in Baghmara Intermediate Community Forest.
According to the park's information officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, 100 saplings have been planted today. The work of planting saplings in the open space of community forest was started today and will be continued.
In the program presided over by the Chief Conservation Officer of the park Haribhadra Acharya, Baburam Lamichhane, Head of National Nature Conservation Fund (NTNC) Saurahaka, Hotel Entrepreneurs Association President Deepak Bhattarai, Chairman of Baghmara Intermediate Community Forest Jit Bahadur Tamang and others were also present.
