Police have arrested Lokesh Pariyar, 19, of Nayakwada in Barekot Gaonpalika-5 with the skin of red panda. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhu Kumar Thapa said that he was arrested during a raid on a tip-off that he had brought the red panda's skin to a hotel in Nalgad Municipality-5 to sell.
According to DSP Thapa, a large red panda with a length of 42 inches and a small skin with a length of 22 inches without a head were recovered from Pariyar. Further investigation is underway.
