Police have arrested a youth on the charge of assaulting a woman.
Ram Bilash Yadav of Parchilawa of Kalyanpur municipality-10 had assaulted Semadevi Chamar, 53, of Kalyanpur-10 on the charge of practicing witchcraft.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, Rajendra Shrestha said the arrest followed FIR lodged by the woman against Yadav with the police.
The woman approached the police on September 2, seeking justice for being subjugated to the inhumane treatment meted out against her.
