Police on Thursday afternoon apprehended a youth in possession of three kilograms of marijuana from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan-9 in Makawanpur district.
The arrested has been identified as Nischal Thapa (22), a local resident of Pashupatinagar in the same sub-metropolis.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Pashupatinagar-based Area Police Office nabbed Thapa with the substance while searching his house. He had been hiding the marijuana under his bed.
Further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed Pashupatinagar Police Office.
