Ganesh Chaudhary has been elected as the chairman of Janaki village municipality of Kailali district. Chaudhary, who was elected as the chairman of the village municipality from the Citizens' Liberation Party, has won by getting 7,151 votes.
His rival candidate Parashuram Mahato of the Nepali Congress got 5,242 votes and Tanka Bahadur Bam of the CPN (UML) got 4,241 votes.
Similarly, Lalmati Devi Katharia of Nagarik Unmukti Party has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson with 6,526 votes. His nearest rival Geeta Chaudhary of UML got 4,005 votes while Jay Prakash Dahit of CPN (Maoist Center) got 4,548 votes.
