Top Bahadur Rayamajhi of CPN-UML was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Arghakhanchi. He was the leader of Maoist in the past. Rayamajhi got 42675 votes.
Nepali Congress member Pushpa Bhushal, who was also the former Deputy Speaker, was defeated by getting 40,945 votes.
