The 10-member taskforce formed to resolve the internal disputes within the CPN-UML will be holding a meeting today today. Yesterday too, the taskforce had held a meeting at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singhadurbar.

According to leader Bhim Rawal, the meeting has been scheduled for 7 pm today.

Yesterday the taskforce had decided to frame the working area, guidelines and code of conduct and move ahead accordingly.

Rawal, who is also a member of the taskforce, had mentioned that the taskforce has appealed to all party leaders and members to cooperate and coordinate to resolve the issues that have been plaguing the party in recent days. He informed that the taskforce has decided to appeal to all concerned to stay away from activities that could lead to a sense of distrust developing within the party.

Meanwhile, leaders Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Shankar Pokharel were not able to attend the meeting yesterday due to their busy work schedule.

The 10-member task force was formed after an understanding was reached between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of the party, and senior party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday (May 16).

The taskforce includes Surendra Pandey, Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bista, and Raghuji Pant from Nepal’s faction. Similarly, Subas Nembang, Bishnu Rimal, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Shankar Pokhrel, and Pradeep Gyawali are representing the Oli faction.
