Dahal holding talks with Deuba

As the deadline given by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari to form a government nears, talks between the leaders of various political parties have intensified. The president has given a deadline of 9 pm today for the parties to form a government under Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairperson of the CPN Maoist Centre at present is in Budhanilkantha to hold talks with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Apparently, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal Chairperson Mahanta Thakur and leader Rajendra Mahato had also gone to meet Deuba at his residence this morning.

In another development, the CPN UML Standing Committee meeting held this morning had decided to revoke the suspension of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal along with three other leaders. Along with this withdrawal, Nepal had agreed to meet the party President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Oli and Nepal too are engaged in discussions at the moment.
