A meeting of the ruling coalition has been held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar. Before the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) meeting, which was approved by the parliament, the coalition meeting basically discussed the implementation of MCC. The Prime Minister thanked everyone for reaching an agreement on MCC ratification at the four-party meeting.
Discussions focused on the role of government and coalition in the evolving political situation. This was stated by the spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki. Stating that if the MCC project is not implemented within five years, the assistance will be withdrawn, said Minister Karki.
He said that there is an impediment in the sovereign parliament, there is a constitutional provision to bring the budget on June 8, there are bills like aviation, the discussion is focused on the operation of the parliament and national issues. The meeting was attended by CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', CPN-Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party and other top leaders.
