Adjacent local-level election activities are increasing in the Mahottari district. As the election draws near, discussions are underway on possible candidates for the post of mayor of Jaleshwor Municipality.
Ashok Sah's name is being discussed as a possible candidate for the post of mayor of the municipality on behalf of the Nepali Congress. He had earlier become the mayor in the local level election held in 2017.
Similarly, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal has recommended Ram Shankar Mishra for the post of mayor again while Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has chosen Suresh Sah Sonar.
Similarly, the name of Ram Adhar Kapar has come forward as a possible candidate from the CPN (UML). Earlier, he had contested from the CPN-Maoist Center in the 2017 election as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Province No. 2. In the upcoming election, the CPN (Maoist Center) has recommended Kaushalendra Sharma and the CPN (Unified Socialist) recommended Dipu Jha for the post of mayor.
