CPN (Maoist Center) senior leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana was registered with the consent of the ruling coalition.

Speaking at the launch of the book 'Jug Jagaundakheri' written by journalist Dabal Mahatara in Gulariya, he said that the impeachment motion has been registered to address the growing anomalies in the judiciary.

Leader Mahara, who is also the former Speaker, expressed concern over the fact that the party is becoming more urbanized and materialistic. "We have launched the campaign of to return to the village to make the party a party of the people," he said.

He expressed the belief that the book would inculcate the values of the revolution and help in institutionalizing the Maoist movement. The program organized by the Maoist Central Gulariya Municipal Committee at Krishnasar Cottage in Gulariya was attended by leaders of Banke district and party central members, provincial committee members, people's representatives and other leaders and cadres.

Journalist Mahatara has included in the book his experiences during the People's War.

Commenting on the book, former president of Press Center Nepal Maheshwar Dahal, senior journalist Dr Dipendra Rokaya and former secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Prabhat Chalaune said that the book was a reminder of difficult times.
