Nepali Congress' Purna Bahadur Khatri won the province assembly election from Dailekh constituency no. 1 (1) by defeating CPN (UML)’s Dharma Raj Regmi.
Khatri got 9,464 votes while Regmi secured 8,072 votes.
The Office of the Chief Returning Officer said that Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Hridaya Raj Shahi managed 1,079 votes while Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party’s Jagat Bahadur Oli got 515 votes.
