Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's visit to India has been canceled. After the Gujarat summit was postponed due to a surge of COVID-19 in India, Prime Minister Deuba's visit to India has been put on hold.
Prime Minister Deuba was invited by the Government of India to attend the conference to be held in Jagurat on January 10-12. On January 9, that is, on January 25, Deuba was scheduled to go directly to Gujarat from Kathmandu.
According to sources close to the Prime Minister, a formal decision to postpone the visit will be taken after receiving information that the conference has been postponed. "There is no official word that the conference has been postponed, but if it is postponed, he (the prime minister) will not go," said a Baluwatar source.
During the Gujarat Conference, Prime Minister Deuba was scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.
