President Bidyadevi Bhandari and PM Sher Bahadur Deuba have discussed current issues at the presidential residence at Sheetal Niwas this afternoon.
On the occasion, they discussed about the National Assembly election held on Wednesday, the government's efforts to control COVID-19, local elections and other current issues.
"The meeting between the Honorable President and the Honorable Prime Minister lasted for about an hour from 3 pm. It is a regular meeting," said Chief Personal Secretary to the President Bhesharaj Adhikari while briefing about the meeting.
Stating that discussions are being held with the political parties about the local elections, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government is fully committed to the implementation of the constitution and is determined to hold the elections on time as per the constitutional provisions.
