Armed Police Force Nepal has been expanding its health services in different states. Inspector General of the Armed Police Shailendra Khanal has informed that the Nepal APF Hospital, which is limited to Kathmandu, is being gradually expanded so that the retired Armed Police personnel as well as their dependent families do not have to lose their lives due to lack of health services.

He informed that the Eastern Regional Hospital in Province 1, Chhinnamasta Field Hospital in Madhes, Trauma Center Kurintar in Bagmati and Midwest Regional Hospital in Kohalpur in Lumbini have been expanded.

According to him, one field hospital will be set up in Karnali and one in Far-Western region next year. Inspector General of the Armed Police Khanal said that the Nepal APF Hospital, which has received temporary approval from 110 beds to 350 beds at the present, can perform more effectively if it gets permanent approval and necessary manpower and resources. Necessary assistance is expected from the government for that, according to the Armed Police Force Nepal Headquarters, Kathmandu.

The APF Hospital in Balambu has been praised for providing remarkable health services during the pandemic. The government has been serving the general public by making the hospital a co-dedicated hospital.
