Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has prepared to announce Rabi Lamichhane as the party chairman.
After the order of the Supreme Court, Lamichhane lost his position as MP along with his party chairmanship.
RSP spokesperson Mukul Dhakal said preparations are underway to announce him as the party chairman again after taking citizenship from the district administration office in Kathmandu. The Party had called a meeting of the Central Committee to announce Lamichhane as the party president at 3 o'clock.
After losing the post of MP along with the post of party chairman due to the citizenship dispute, the party elected Dol Prasad Aryal as acting party chairman and leader of the parliamentary party.
