Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma has said that the transformation of the Nepali Congress has begun. Speaking at a function organized by Nepali Congress Ilam today, he said that the transformation has started with the arrival of youth in the party.
General Secretary Sharma said that the leaders who were defeated in the General Convention were not incompetent but were left behind as they moved forward in a democratic manner. He said that there was no defeat or victory as it was an internal exercise.
Similarly, General Secretary Sharma urged the cadres to be confident that the Congress would be transformed and become a modern Congress. He said that the aspiration of a changed Congress and a strong Congress was a victory and suggested working with integrity, responsibility, humility, and restraint. He said that the cadres from the district and local levels, who are leading to change the Nepali Congress as a force to be reckoned with as the first party in the upcoming election, should do the same.
Nepali Congress Ilam President Dambar Khadka said that he was with everyone to make the Congress the biggest political party in Ilam from now on.
