UML's Devraj Ghimire has been confirmed to run for the Speaker of the House of Representatives from the ruling coalition.
Ghimire is scheduled to reach the Lhotse Hall of the International Conference Center in a few moments and register his nomination.
The time of nomination for the Speaker has been fixed from 1 pm to 4 pm today.
Ghimire was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa 2 in the election held last November. The Nepali Congress is also going to field candidates in the Speaker's election.
